Why should I become a member of the Warrnambool Racing Club? 
A Warrnambool Racing Club membership is a great way to support your racing club and local community, and enjoy fantastic race day benefits. The benefits include:

  • A year-round racing calendar, including the TAB Warrnambool May Racing Carnival (early May) and Haymes Paint Jericho Cup (late Nov)
  • Access to amazing facilities, including the Matilda Room, The Deck and more

Does my membership application need to be ratified by the board to join as a new member? 
Yes, new members will have their application approved by the board at the next committee meeting. If your application is declined for any reason, you will receive a full refund. 

How can I pay for a membership?
Memberships can be purchased online via secure payment with a Visa or Mastercard. 

Are there members’ only facilities that I have access to on race day? 
Yes, there are. This can depend on the race meeting, however, member’s will always get first rights and priority access to any and all areas year round. For example, members will always be able to access the Matilda Room on race day.

Can I bring children into the Members’ facilities?
Children under the age of 18 are permitted into all Members’ areas if accompanied by an adult member. Members are reminded that they are responsible for the behaviour and dress standard of their guests and children at all times.

Is there a dress code in the Members’ facilities? 
At a minimum, we expect members to dress in a smart-casual attire befitting of the Club. Hats or fascinators are encouraged on feature race days, particularly during the TAB Warrnambool May Racing Carnival.

Not Permitted: The following items of clothing or those similar in nature are not permitted to be worn within the Members’ facilities; tracksuits, torn clothing, clothing with graffiti, singlets, football jerseys, leggings, thongs and moccasins.

Who can use a Guest Pass? 
Guest passes can be used by any non-member you would like to bring on race day, it does not need to be the same guest each time. 

What will I receive in my membership pack?
There are two main types of membership.
A Full Memberships includes a primary membership card, plus two (2) guest passes, along with a member’s car park pass.
A Colts & Fillies Memberships includes a primary membership card.

When will I receive my membership pack? 
Membership packs are normally sent 1-3 business days after purchase for confirmed members, please allow more time during the busy renewal period.

What happens if my card is lost or stolen? 
Membership cards can be replaced by using the Replacement Card Form. The old card will be cancelled and a new one will be issued. A replacement fee of $30 will be charged for each card that requires replacement. To replace your card, please Download the Replacement Card Form (PDF). 

What happens if forget my membership card on a race day? 
Should you forget your membership card on a race day, we ask that you please pay the race day general admission fee and visit the Race Day Office (feature race days) or the Main Office (non-feature race days). Upon presentation of appropriate identification, a temporary card will be issued for the race day which will allow you access to all member areas.

Unfortunately, should you forget your card, your Racecourse admission will not be refunded.

Is there a Members’ car park? 
Yes, there is a Member’s car park for our race meets, excluding at May. The Club will stipulate member parking allocation for the TAB Warrnambool May Racing Carnival at that time.

How long does a membership last? 
The membership season follows the racing season, which is 1 August – 31 July. We recommend renewing on or before 31 January to access the early bird discount, as well as maximise the value of your membership. 

If I can’t attend a race day, can a friend or family member use my card? 
Yes, another person can use your membership pass if you cannot attend. Membership cards are scanned upon entry to the racecourse and can only be scanned in once.

Are there any reciprocal rights with other race clubs? 
As a member of the Warrnambool Racing Club, you’ll receive reciprocal rights on non-feature race days. It is advised that members contact the relevant Racing Club in advance to find out more about the reciprocal rights they offer. These rights are at their discretion.
